QUALIFICATIONS OF JEFF A. LAWSON, MAI

Currently vice president of Carr, Lawson, Cantrell & Associates, Inc. Previously was the senior appraisal review officer for Regions Bank. Exclusively engaged in real estate valuation, review, and consulting since 1983.

Type of Work Performed:
Experience includes consultation and valuation of varied properties, including apartments, office and residential condominiums, hotels and motels, industrial and warehouse properties, shopping centers, single-family residences, office buildings, farms, various types land, and special use properties. Interests appraised include fee simple, leasehold, and leased fee.

Responsibilities with Regions Bank included policy formulation/compliance with federal appraisal regulations, formulation and implementation of appraisal review procedures, assistance with the disposition of bank-owned (OREO) real estate, evaluating overall appraisal quality on Due Diligence examinations, performing feasibility studies for prospective branch bank locations, and managing/qualifying appraisers for approved appraiser lists for numerous affiliate Region Bank locations.

Education/Teaching:
Graduate of the University of Kentucky, class of 1983; Bachelor of Business Administration degree with major in Marketing; Honor graduate. Has successfully completed numerous courses sponsored by the Appraisal Institute, formerly the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, and attended numerous seminars on appraisal and appraisal related topics, as well as presented several seminars on appraisal topics. Attended the First National Bancorp (now Regions Bank) Lender’s Academy program in 1995; graduated second in the class. Staff instructor for the Georgia Institute of Real Estate (the education arm of the Atlanta Board of REALTORS®). National faculty member of the Appraisal Institute (teach courses 110 and 120).

Co-author of a 90-hour appraisal course purchased by Dearborn Publishing, Inc., in 2002. Author of a continuing education course entitled, Developing An Accurate Value Via The Cost Approach.
